Yes, I am a designer and I have a twin. No, he is not a designer. He works in International Development. It is quite fascinating, but that is for another time.
I graduated from Skidmore College in 1997 as a Studio Art major with concentrations in Drawing and Graphic Design. I also spent quite a bit of time throwing pots. I left scenic upstate New York to work in Rochester, then Albany, followed by Boston. Finally, I settled in New York City in 2004 and began working as a freelance graphic designer. Wondertwin was conceived a few short months later. From the beginning, Wondertwin’s work has been rooted in providing the customer with the product they want with design developed for their needs and users in mind.
The beauty of the Internet is that is available almost everywhere, and I mean everywhere. As the sole proprietor of Wondertwin and working for my most demanding boss, I’ve taken the opportunity to put the show on the road. You know, recharge the batteries. Rediscover the creative impulse and re-imagine the possibilities. During my travels, I climbed mountains in the Alps(Image 2 & Image 3), rowed a pair, cage dove with great whites, swam with whale sharks, ran with bulls, drove cross-country, learned to sail (Image 4 & Image 5), mountain biked Moab, slogged through a rain forest during the rainy season, danced tango in Buenos Aires, discovered the joys of traveling alone and reading books while enjoying a breeze from North Africa (Image 1). I love seeing the world. It keeps me fresh.
While I might crave the life incognito at times, I’m never incommunicado. Business is business and Wondertwin is here to serve. I savor solving problems and doing “it” the right way. If you feel the same way and have a project for me please drop me a line.
Since the first project of Wondertwin, I have been lucky enough to work with wonderful clients - some of who are listed below. If you have specific work history questions please consult my resume. References are available upon request.
