A strong understanding of User Experience Design and Interaction translates across all platforms. Wondertwin understands this tenet of design and was requested by Behavior Design to assist on MoMA’s Kirchner Exhibit Website and Kiosk development.
Having teamed up with Behavior to develop the MoMA Seurat kiosk I was very familiar with MoMA’s needs. The creative director and I worked quickly to develop a strong and unique vision. Certain requirements such as a large button area for a touch-based kiosk inspired the layout, style and format of the design elements. Geometric rectangles dominate and are reminiscent of the format of Kirchner’s paintings. Rhythmically staggering the elements created a compositional flow. The vivid expressionist paintings pop-off the interactive canvas giving Kirchner life in a new technology and a new medium of expression.
